TSS 500N6B Telecom Surge Generator as per Bellcore/Telcordia GR-1089-Core

EM TEST TSS 500N6B Telecom Surge Generator is specifically designed for testing 4-wire applications as per Bellcore GR-1089-Core. This standard includes several test pulses with different source impedance values to generate the pulses required by Bellcore for First Level Lightning and Intra-Building Lightning Surge tests as well as for AC power port testing. All test pulses are generated by means of a single tester.

The TSS 500N6B has a built-in CDN to connect the telecom ports (both for 2-wire and 4-wire applications). The internal switching circuit automatically sets the generator to apply the test pulses according to the selected coupling mode. The TSS 500N6B also supports testing of 12 pair telecom ports simultaneously with the test pulse 10/360µs using the optional CNB 500.
